"So what do you think? Is Syndrome back with some kind of Fat Ray?"

"Whoever heard of something dumb like that?

"I dunno! Maybe he thinks he can make all the superheroes too fat to fight crime! You know how crazy that guy was!"

"Didn't he get sucked into a jet engine though?"

"Yeah, ooh I know, I bet it's like some witch who's mad because she got fat and is making everyone else so fat they can't move now!"

"That's stupid."

Helen furrowed her brow. "Violet, don't call your brother stupid. And Dash, for your information even if I have put on a few pounds I am STILL

perfectly capable of moving around on my own thank you very much!" As if to illustrate her point, Mrs. Incredible stretched out an arm and grabbed

a distant ledge with the intention of slinghotting herself up. Despite the sudden and unexpected weight gain her ability to stretch her body into

just about any shape and form had not diminished in the slightest.

"Sorry mom."

"Yeah, sorry."

"I should hope so," Helen responded. "Now listen, your dad is counting on us to back him up against the Underminer's forces, so I don't want to

hear any more arguing or crazy theories or any of that? Got it?"

"Yes mom."

"Good. Now let's get going!" Mrs. Incredible proceeded to retratch her arm towards her while still clutching the ledge of the rooftop with her

hand. The motion would normally have pulled her up to the roof in a swift, smooth action. Instead, after a second or two of hesitation and being

dragged an inch or two from her spot, she instead found the stone block she was holding tearing free from the roof and her arm snapping back into

place like a rubber band.

"Not a word of this to your father."
