Old is New - Goddamn You're Huge Iris

It's that time again!

Time to brush our teeth?

Time to start that crossover fanfic that we'll inevitably lose interest in and abandon?

No! It's time to revisit some of my older works, recreate them, and then look at them side by side to see how they compare! Today's image is a redo of this image right here:



-This one's more of a straightforward remake than some of the other "Old is New" images I've done in the past. Iris's pose, as well as her overall shape are largely the same, though I did give her a bigger butt and larger thighs than before.

- Her colors and her overall appearance are more accurate to the official design, though I still took some minor creative liberties here and there. The idea was to streamline her appearance in spots and add some flourish in others to make her fit the Mega Man X8 aesthetic a little more.

-Shading is handled differently this time, with more shadows on the belly and breasts to bring out their size, weight, and softness a bit more.

-The background, while still abstract, is more constructed and designed for the image as opposed to a series of brush strokes applied in a pattern. Combined with the image itself it helps suggest a bit of a story, even if that story is largely up to interpretation!

In other news, it's now October. Summer is now well behind us (in the northern hemisphere at least) and it's time to start thinking of Halloween, spooks and scares and of course, lots and lots of candy. I can't exactly give you nice folks out there any candy, but I do have plenty of nice treats in store for everyone.
