Pack Preview - Some Kind Of Magic

    “Ahh stow it Shannon,” Annette snapped. “It’s your fault we’re arguing anyway! If you’d told us we’d have to wear these stupid get ups we’d never have volunteered to be your assistants in the first place!”

    “Hey, I didn’t volunteer!” Melissa stated. “I’m only here because you begged me to!”

    “Details, details,” Shannon sighed, “the important thing is we’re all in this together now, and the show is a charity event so it’s for a good cause, so let’s work together and have fun, what do you say Annie? Melody?” Shannon drew both girls together in a hug. “It’ll be fun!”

    “It’d be more fun if we’d had some time to rehearse the act with you beforehand,” Melissa said, slipping out of Shannon’s embrace. “And my name’s Melissa.”

    “Yeah, what the heck are we even supposed to do?” Annette asked.

    “Don’t worry about it,” Shannon grinned. She discretely tapped Annette’s bottom with the tip of the magic wand she’d purchased earlier that week. “Just follow my lead and you two will be fine. Now come, the crowd’s waiting for us!”

    Without missing a beat, Shannon strode out onto the stage to perform the opening act, leaving Annette and Melissa to wait in the wing until she called for them.  With the show having started, there was little use in complaining anymore. Still, she couldn’t help but fidget and feel a bit uncomfortable.

    “Damn, you’re right Mel,” Annette whispered, “this outfit does like to ride up.”
